Job Summary

This hands-on operational role combines market surveillance, risk monitoring, and internal support. You will lead a team managing real-time trading operations, ensuring risk controls, incident resolution, and compliance within a structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team across rotating shifts, including a 24×5 trading desk, ensuring operational excellence, effective shift coverage, and disciplined handovers
• Develop, maintain, and enforce client-specific Operations Manuals documenting monitoring thresholds, risk limits, escalation procedures, and execution rules to ensure consistent compliance
• Act as primary escalation point for operational incidents and exceptions, coordinating timely resolution with clients, IT, and Compliance teams
• Ensure operational governance by supervising monitoring and reporting activities without exceeding client mandates or making discretionary trading decisions
• Establish and manage relationships with Liquidity Providers and vendors to support pricing depth, execution quality, and platform stability
• Coordinate daily operations with IT, Compliance, Finance, and Customer Services teams to maintain smooth workflows
• Prepare and review operational and risk reports for clients, and lead operational onboarding for new clients including scope definition, manual preparation, parameter setup, and pre-launch testing
• Utilize SQL to perform monitoring, reporting, and operational analysis; apply Python skills for automation and control checks where applicable

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in trading operations, risk operations, or related financial markets environment with prior team leadership
• Proven ability to oversee pricing, trade execution, and server-side trading infrastructure while monitoring risk exposure within established frameworks
• Demonstrated coordination skills across multiple business functions to ensure operational integrity

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Background in financial services, markets, or analytical environments with strong market operation knowledge
• Understanding of trading mechanics across multiple asset classes including spreads, margin, leverage, swaps, slippage, and market gaps during major economic events such as NFP, CPI releases, and central bank announcements
• Experience in FX/CFD markets
• Hands-on experience with trading platforms and bridge/aggregation technologies, especially MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
• Ability or strong willingness to query trading and position data using SQL
• Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions under fast-moving market conditions
• Excellent written English communication skills for operational logs, incident reporting, and client reporting
• Willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule
