ABOUT WORLD TABLE TENNIS

The creation of World Table Tennis (WTT) is set to revolutionise the way table tennis is viewed and commercialised across the globe. With significant external investment and commitment to long term partnership, WTT is much more than a vehicle to house current rights. As the dedicated commercial rights entity, for the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), WTT has the ambition and ability to create new assets and events, capitalising on the unrivalled potential of the sport. The clear aim is to build WTT into a revenue generation powerhouse, ploughing profits back into Table Tennis to continually develop and transform the sport. 

World Table Tennis (WTT) is a commercial entity created by the ITTF to grow the professionalization of table tennis by running ITTF’s commercial and events business. Taking a new, innovative and entrepreneurial approach to how table tennis should manage its competition platform and positioning, WTT has been tasked with re-imagining a new professional event structure, reenergizing the entertainment and fan experience, and re-defining the new era.

With 300 million players and over 500 million fans, the potential of the sport of table tennis is waiting to be unleashed.

WTT ACCOUNTANT

WTT is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Accountant who has good business acumen and will be responsible for the spectrum of operational tasks and projects under the Business Services Finance department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Bookkeeping:

• Recording financial transactions 
• Reviewing and verifying data entry tasks performed by another member
• Processing payments, including disbursements for prize money and payments to suppliers
• Working closely with WTT Events Team for event/player related queries
• Managing full set accounts

Financial Reporting:

• Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports such as the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and respective balance sheet schedules 
• Ensuring the month-end accounts are closed promptly

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assisting in the creation and monitoring of budgets

Tax Compliance:

• Ensuring compliance with tax regulations
• Preparing and filing tax returns

Audit/Tax Support:

• Liaising with auditors/tax agent and providing necessary documentation

Others

• Any other duties or tasks as assigned by Head of Finance

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• Minimum Diploma in Accountancy / Finance / Banking
• At least 2 years of working relevant experience in related field
• Analytical, meticulous with a keen eye for numbers
• Sound knowledge of accounting and reporting standards
• Experience with Xero would be advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in MS Excel
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and with different teams
• Only Singaporean may apply.

Desirable:

• Passion for sport and business
• Ability to work in multiple languages, with preference for South East Asian Languages
