Compliance Director – MAS License

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end MAS Payment Services Act (PSA) licence application (likely Major Payment Institution).
• Prepare and submit regulatory documentation, including business model, AML/CFT framework, risk assessment, and compliance policies.
• Act as the main liaison with MAS throughout the application process.
• Develop and implement compliance programmes covering KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and AML/CFT controls.
• Draft and maintain compliance policies and SOPs aligned with MAS regulations.
• Work closely with product, technology, and business teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of compliance experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services.
• Hands-on experience with MAS regulations and PSA licence applications.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in high-volume payment, e-wallet, gaming, or fintech environments is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
