Compliance Senior Manager – Corporate Services

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Compliance to lead the compliance function within our Corporate Services division. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust compliance framework to support the servicing of high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, family offices, private investment structures, and corporate entities incorporated in Singapore and various overseas jurisdictions.

This role will oversee regulatory compliance, client onboarding, risk management, AML/CFT controls, and governance standards across the corporate secretarial business while working closely with senior management, relationship managers, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

• Lead and manage the overall compliance framework for the corporate secretarial business.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including ACRA, MAS guidelines where applicable, AML/CFT regulations, sanctions requirements, and relevant international standards.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Singapore and overseas jurisdictions and assess their impact on the business.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Client Due Diligence & Risk Management

• Oversee client onboarding, periodic reviews, and enhanced due diligence processes for corporate structures.
• Review and approve high-risk client relationships, complex ownership structures, and cross-border arrangements.
• Ensure adequate identification and verification of ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), source of wealth, and source of funds.
• Lead risk assessments relating to clients, jurisdictions, industries, and transactions.

AML/CFT & Sanctions Compliance

• Act as the subject matter expert on AML/CFT and sanctions compliance matters.
• Ensure ongoing monitoring of client activities and review alerts, escalations, and suspicious activity concerns.
• Oversee sanctions screening, adverse media reviews, and politically exposed person (PEP) assessments.
• Manage reporting obligations and liaise with relevant authorities when required.

Advisory & Stakeholder Management

• Provide compliance advice and guidance to corporate secretarial, business development, and management teams.
• Partner with relationship managers and client service teams on complex client matters and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the key compliance contact during audits, regulatory inspections, and external reviews.

Governance & Training

• Conduct regular compliance monitoring and internal reviews to identify potential risks and control gaps.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management and board committees.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programmes to employees.
• Foster a strong compliance culture across the organisation.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the compliance team.
• Establish compliance objectives, KPIs, and performance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and compliance effectiveness.
