Conveyancing Legal Executive/Paralegal

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive, organised and experienced Conveyancing Legal Executive/Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will support our lawyers in mainly conveyancing work, with experience in probate matters being a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full range of conveyancing matters such as purchase & sales, refinancing and development projects.
• Prepare legal conveyancing documentation and handle e-lodgement and e-stamping processes.
• Liaise with clients, banks and related parties to ensure smooth completion of conveyancing transactions.
• Attend to completion
• Provide administrative and secretarial supportto the lawyers in the conveyancing department (e.g. conducting searches,billing, opening and closing files, managing and keeping deadlines, bookappointments and arrange meetings with clients, estate agents).
• Manage case files, maintain diaries and deadlines, monitor progress of matters.
• Assist lawyers with other legal matters when required.

Requirements /Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a law firm.
• Familiarity with e-litigation or electronic court filing systems.
• Diploma in legal studies or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process, including stamp duty forms and Land Registry applications
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Courteous and with good interpersonal skills, able to deal with clients & queries.
• Meticulous, well-organised and can work well under time constraints, able to work long hours when required.
• Good command of spoken and written English; able to communicate orally in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications, especially Microsoft word and excel;  and willing to pick up other office applications.
