Job Description - Fund Relationship Management AMIF/JD1489

Job Summary

The role is responsible for delivering excellence in fund services client relationship management within the fund administration division. You will manage client relationships, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant fund administration services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of fund administration clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships
  • Conduct regular client meetings to assess fund administration needs, regulatory requirements, and reporting preferences
  • Provide expert guidance on fund administration services and best practices to clients
  • Interpret financial data and respond to queries from investment managers or investors regarding financial statements, portfolio investments, fee calculations, and NAV per share
  • Support sales teams by attending client meetings and providing technical expertise
  • Collaborate with internal fund accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely service delivery to clients
  • Manage service delivery for existing funds and managers, ensuring agreed service levels are met
  • Review NAV packages for accuracy before distribution to investment managers and investors
  • Communicate regularly with Fund Accounting teams in India and Mauritius responsible for accounting and investor services
  • Provide administrative support to Fund Services teams, including payment arrangements, filing, scanning, and faxing
  • Monitor shareholder services to ensure timely processing of subscriptions, redemptions, and completion of KYC/AML checks
  • Accurately record chargeable time and service value using Maconomy to monitor transactions, pricing, invoicing, and fee collection
  • Track personal productivity and chargeability weekly, reviewing performance against financial and client communication targets
  • Follow disciplined timesheet submission processes to meet weekly and monthly chargeability goals
  • Undertake roles such as director, trustee, nominee, manager, partner, secretary, or authorized signatory in internal or client entities as required by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management or Group Human Resources

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • CPA/CA/CAIA qualification or part-qualified status preferred but not mandatory
  • 5-8 years of fund administration experience with knowledge of daily fund administrator operations including compliance, NAV computation, and transfer agency functions
  • Understanding of regional financial markets and various financial products
  • Solid knowledge of ledger entries, accounting for investment transactions, and their impact on financial statements
  • Hands-on experience in Fund Accounting, Investor Services, Fund Structuring, and/or Fund Directorships
  • Familiarity with local market fund regulations and knowledge of PFX Paxus is advantageous
  • Experience in Private Equity fund structuring, waterfall distribution, and carried interest calculation is highly valued
  • Basic understanding of offshore jurisdiction fund structures and relevant regulations including FATCA, CRS, BEPS, GAAR, ESR
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with preference for regional language proficiency
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences and liaise effectively at different organizational levels
  • Exceptional English fluency; additional languages are a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-driven approach
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of making sound decisions under tight deadlines
  • Independent, hands-on, and accountable for delivering solutions and results
  • Ability to adapt and collaborate within a small, dynamic local team and a larger matrix organization
  • Proven team player with ambition to grow into fund origination and structuring roles
