Job Description - Logistics Coordinator

Logistics & Order Management

  • Manages the logistics department to provide excellent delivery service to customers.
  • Resource planning, especially manpower, drivers, fleets, and inventory towards daily order fulfillment.
  • Engagement with the transport service providers to ensure the upkeep of the desired service level in accordance with the service level agreement.
  • Monitor daily stock movement as compared to daily offtake requirement to ensure inventory availability according to the requirements and plan.  
  • Guide and assist the dispatch team on day-to-day issues of drivers, fleets and issues at customer sites if any.
  • Closely monitor and ensure smooth daily dispatch operations without any delivery disruption, including the availability of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and its related system.
  • Responsible for ensuring daily delivery volume is tallied between dispatch system (CWIS) and Site Printing/W-Locate system to facilitate on-time invoicing.
  • To guide the team in upkeeping the operations in accordance with internal operating procedures and perform regular checks on the documentation.
  • Work closely with plant team on periodical weighbridge accuracy checks and ensure necessary action is put in place if required.
  • Coordinate and liaise with inter-departments on inventory, delivery and invoicing related matters and facilitate finance in the fortnightly and month-end billing, including ensuring SP & SAP data tallies.
  • Continuously educate the drivers, especially through safety toolbox talks and other engagement sessions to ensure100% compliance with in-house HSE rules. 
  • Assist the Senior Operations Manager in all operational aspects, including logistics, inventory management as well as stakeholder engagement such as Jurong Port, shipping agents, etc.
  • Consolidate and declare outgoing materials promptly to ICA through the portal and permit.

Sales Support/Customer Engagement

  • Assist sales team in engaging customers as and when required.
  • Support sales team in achieving monthly sales forecast and at the same time ensure it is aligned with inventory management and shipment schedule.
  • Handle HDB related enquiries/notification, sampling, and documentation by coordinating closely with the plant manager and engineer.

Others

  • Provide ad-hoc administrative support as assigned by management.
  • To handle and manage ISO related documents and records up to date.
  • To maintain and manage internal SOP’s and related documentation by reviewing them periodically as well as ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and send out “Daily Performance Report” as and when required.

Minimum Requirement

  • Minimum diploma in any related field.
  • Able to work 6 days a week.
  • Independent and able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Possess planning and leadership skills to inspire the team to execute the task effectively.
  • Ability to multitask would bean added advantage.
