Job Description - Logistics Officer

Job Description & Requirements:

The purpose of this role is to assist Project Managers and Sales Team with coordination of information and organization of projects with the goal of getting them completed on time and within budget.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with supply chain sand sales team to gather all information regarding product deliverables for projects
  • Streamline and disseminate project details to Operations (Ops) and Project team
  • To provide clear and concise updates to the Ops and project teams, on the ETA of furniture items.
  • Provide detailed and clears delivery schedules in advance for upcoming projects and keep track of any changes prior to delivery.
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures with Ops.
  • Attending and participating in Ops organised project meetings.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Determining project changes.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Undertaking project tasks as required.
  • Developing new project strategies to enhance workflow
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure Operation Manager’s views are managed towards the best solution
  • Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
  • On Warehousing: - To work in collaboration with Partitions and Furniture departments - Assist warehouse stock tracking (Partitions) - To indicate GRN number on the supplier’s invoice (Partitions) - To keep track on available storage space at warehouse to cater for future incoming furniture shipment (Furniture)

Required Skills

  • Fluency in English - written/spoken.
  • At least 1-2 years sales experience ideally within commercial or related industries
  • Excellent eye for detail and accuracy
  • Strong mix of creative and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent soft skills with a team player attitude.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to suggest improvements and embrace change
  • Detail oriented, organized and managing multiple, complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to thrive in an international environment, with multiple language and time zones.
  • Set, communicate, and maintain timelines on every project
