NFS Lab Assistant

Job Description

•  Maintain cleanliness and organization of food laboratories and preparation rooms through daily housekeeping.
• Prepare food labs, ingredients, and equipment for practical lessons and examinations.
• Process recipe ingredient orders and ensure timely procurement of supplies.
• Maintain records, filing, invoices, receipts, delivery orders, and other administrative documentation.
• Conduct inventory, stock, and asset checks to ensure adequate supplies and equipment.
• Manage equipment loans, learning resources, and laboratory materials.
• Coordinate with contractors for equipment servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Provide operational support for department activities and events involving the food laboratories.
• Ensure food laboratories comply with safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
• Assist teachers and staff in the smooth day-to-day operation of practical food laboratory sessions.

Requirements

• Secondary school qualifications or equivalent.
• Able to converse and keep records.
• Able to use MS Office apps.
• Relevant certification on food hygiene, food preparation and food safety.
• At least three (3) years of similar experience inschool environment.
