Position: Pet Store Manager
 
Overview:
The Pet Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of pet store. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of both locations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and achieving sales targets. The manager will also be responsible for managing a team of employees and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
- Oversee the operations of pet shop, ensuring efficient and effective functioning.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to meet customer demands.
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the store's appearance and attract customers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of pet-related products.
2. Team Management:
- Supervise a team of employees across both branches.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee development.
3. Customer Service:
- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times, resolving customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
- Train staff on customer service best practices and ensure they are consistently followed.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall customer experience.
4. Sales and Financial Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Analyze sales data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor expenses, control costs, and manage budgets effectively.
Requirements:
- Must be able to handle animals
- Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in the retail or pet industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of pet care products, industry trends, and customer preferences.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays as required.
