Procurement Executive (Government Sector / GeBiz) - JL

My client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Procurement Executive. The role involves supporting procurement operations and providing advisory services to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with government procurement policies and achieving value-for-money outcomes.

This is a 1-year agency contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide procurement advisory and support to divisions on procurement matters and sourcing approaches.

• Prepare and review procurement submissions, including expenditure papers and award recommendation reports.

• Advise stakeholders on procurement specifications, evaluation criteria, and procurement strategies.

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities through GeBIZ, including:

  • Publishing quotations and tenders

  • Awarding contracts

  • Issuing Purchase Orders (PO) and Invoicing Instructions (II)

  • Processing contract variations

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and buying divisions.

• Support the review and enhancement of procurement policies, processes, and governance practices.

• Provide administrative support such as data analysis, conducting procurement clinics/briefings, and other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in any discipline.

• At least 4 years of procurement experience, preferably within the public sector.

• Good understanding of Government procurement policies and hands-on experience with GeBIZ transactions.

• Able to multitask and work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.

• Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with internal divisions.
