FMAS - Background:
The Federation of Merchants’ Associations, Singapore (FMAS) is a non-profit organization that represents and champions the heartland merchants in Singapore. We organize various events and programs to ensure our members and heartland merchants’ continual participation, learning and improvement to brace the new era of competition. FMAS works very closely with Ministries, Government Agencies and other public and private stakeholders to drive projects to develop and improve heartland businesses.
The objectives of FMAS are to:
- Inject vibrancy into neighbourhood centres,
- Unite business in the community,
- Help the heartland merchants uplift their productivity and competitiveness.
HECS - Background:
Heartland Enterprise Centre (HECS), subsidiary of FMAS was also set up in 2018 to support heartland businesses through:
- Upgrade through skills training, digital and technology deployment and other relevant initiatives,
- Enhance outreach and awareness of various heartland development programs to heartland businesses, and
- Drive precinct transformation and rejuvenation projects.
We are now looking for the role of a Project Manager to undertake Project Management with the following scope of works:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement programmes and strategies to develop heartland businesses and progression of FMAS
- Manage projects’ budget, progress and development
- Drive precinct upgrading projects and oversee planning and implementation
- Drive digitalization projects and develop road-maps for continued adoptions and sustainability
- Drive business development, marketing and out-reach activities
- Source for sponsorships, contribute to membership base growth and fund-raising activities
- Manage existing and new projects to ensure optimal outcome and successes
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to plan and assign resources to support project management
- Manage online information, website, social-media marketing and provide content for newsletters and other initiatives
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and passionate about heartland enterprises
- Tertiary education with at least 3-5 years of project and event management experience
- Knowledge and experience in e-commerce platforms, digitalization, social media and marketing, & graphics design will be an added advantage
- Experience in TAC work will be an added advantage
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to implement strategies to product desired outcomes
- Ability to work independently, drive and inspire
- Disciplined with project schedule and deadline
