Regional Account Assistant Manager (Anime)

Company Overview

Our client has identified "Content & IP," "International Expansion," and "Japanese Anime" as its key growth pillars. As part of this initiative, the company established its Singapore office in February 2024 as a strategic hub for expansion across the Asian market. Leveraging its extensive expertise accumulated in Japan and North America, our client aims to understand the unique needs and preferences of each Asian market, enabling deeper audience engagement. This strategic move supports the expansion of licensing, merchandising, and other business opportunities for various popular IPs and animation titles.

Job Responsibilities

• Regional Account Management & Strategy: Assist in developing and executing regional marketing strategies and business plans. Expand the company's brand presence and promote licensing solutions across Asia Pacific markets.

• Client Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term, collaborative business relationships with clients and partners. Focus on strategic partnerships rather than aggressive hard-selling.

• Leadership & Performance Management: Provide guidance and support to junior team members. Monitor sales/marketing performance, track KPIs, and report to management on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field (Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications is preferred).

• Experience: At least 4-5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, account management, or marketing. Prior experience in the IP/Entertainment industry is an advantage but not mandatory.

• Genuine interest and passion for the animation, media, and entertainment industry.

• Language Proficiency:

• Highly proficient in speaking, reading, and writing Business Chinese to negotiate and liaise with Chinese-speaking clients and counterparts in regions such as Taiwan.

• Proficiency in Japanese is required to effectively communicate and liaise with the Japanese-speaking headquarters and stakeholders.

• Travel: Willingness and flexibility to travel overseas frequently for business purposes.

• Availability: Immediate availability or short notice period is highly preferred.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Salary: SGD 5,000 - SGD 6,000 per month (Commensurate with experience and skills)

• Annual Wage Supplement (AWS): Provided (13th-month bonus)

• Variable Bonus: Discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance

• Annual Leave: 14 days | Medical Leave: 14 days

• Medical Insurance: Provided (upon completion of the 3-month probation period)
