Job Description - Sales Executive

This role reports to the technical sales manager.

Job Description:

1. Sales Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate sales activities, including customer meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Assist in preparing sales materials, presentations, and proposals for client meetings and sales pitches.
  • Maintain and organize sales documents, records, and databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is readily accessible.

2. Customer Communication:

  • Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries and requests, directing them to the appropriate sales team member for assistance.
  • Follow up with customers on sales inquiries, quotations, and orders to ensure timely and accurate responses.

3. Reporting:

  • Assist in analyzing sales data and generating reports to track sales performance, identify trends, and measure progress towards sales targets.
  • Assist in coordinating technical demonstrations and providing technical information to customers as needed.

4. Documentation and Proposal Preparation:

  • Support the Sales Engineer in preparing technical proposals, costing estimates, commercial offers, and tender documentation for customer bids and projects.
  • Assist in reviewing and editing sales documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with customer requirements.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments such as Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to coordinate efforts and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to relay customer feedback, address inquiries, and facilitate collaboration on sales-related activities.

6. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Assist in maintaining customer relationship management (CRM) systems by updating customer records, logging interactions, and tracking sales activities.
  • Support in nurturing customer relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

7. Ad hoc Support:

  • Provide ad hoc support to the Sales Engineer and sales team members as needed to address urgent requests, meet deadlines, and achieve sales objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Preferably holds a technical degree or equivalent. Diploma holders are also welcomed.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
