Science Lab Assistant - Jurong

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up and clear laboratory apparatus, materials and equipment for Science lessons, practicals and STEM activities.
• Assist teachers in preparing resources for experiments, demonstrations and laboratory-based learning.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organisation and operational readiness at all times.
• Manage laboratory inventory, monitor stock levels and coordinate the replenishment of equipment, consumables and chemicals.
• Organise, store and maintain laboratory equipment and teaching resources in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform routine inspections of laboratory equipment and facilities, and coordinate maintenance or repairs when required.
• Support periodic stock-taking, inventory audits and laboratory asset management.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, including the safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Inspect safety equipment regularly and report hazards or non-conformities promptly to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
