Job Description - Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Functions & Summary:

Assist in the overall supervision of daily housekeeping operations. Ensure a clean, comfortable and safe environment for the Club members, guests, employees and business partners. 

Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day to day operations of the housekeeping.
  • Oversee the requirements and needs for daily banquet events relating to housekeeping. Ensure cleanliness of all premises including back of the house areas. 
  • Supervise and check Facility Assistant work assignment and work areas. Assist when necessary.
  • Conduct training for existing and newly recruited employees.
  • Ensure Facility Attendants are properly attired and groomed in accordance to the Club standards and guidelines. 
  • Conduct daily briefing with the Facility Attendants. Daily routine walk through and inspections. Identify and detect defects and follow up with quick rectification. 
  • Work closely with maintenance team for defect rectifications. Maintain inventory and conduct weekly stock check. 
  • Plan and execute supply requisitions. 
  • Maintain par stock of guest supplies and toiletries, cleaning supplies, uniform etc.  
  • Supervise internal pest control measures and ensure routine control schedules executed, ensuring consistency. 
  • Assist purchasing department in selecting suppliers for items related to housekeeping.  Attending and resolving member complaints. 
  • Verification of supplies consignments.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years related working experience with exposure to hotels / hospitality environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions/changes in priorities.
  • Highly motivated, quality driven and results oriented.
  • Strong analytical, good problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Ability to lead, motivate a large team of staff, adapt, embraces strong cultural diversity, work in multi-ethnic teams.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written, and positive attitude towards fostering teamwork among associates in support role.
