ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTER

Roles & Responsibilities

Translate the ideas and rough sketches of engineers and architects into detailed drawings.

1) Responsible for all drafting and preparation of drawing

2) Prepare design /proposal drawings to specifications set by requirements

3) Ensure that all drawings are done in accordance with the company's quality procedure

4) Ensure that drawings are being checked to the highest quality standard to meet customer's expectation

5) Produce all required drawings and details for submission to authorities, Client, and Consultants from design intent and information, specifications, and in accordance with good industry practice.

6) Assist, prepare and update construction /shop drawings and combined services drawings for consultants’ submission and approval

7) Check and verify drawings for conformity and accuracy to identify and prevent potential conflict among all disciplines.

8) Incorporate data from topographical surveys and geophysical reports to prepare drawings

9) Ensure drawings are numbered in sequence with all revisions

10) Ensure drawings are being controlled and transmitted

11) Liaise with vendors and clients to ensure specifications are met

12) Interpret Architectural and Structural drawings and prepare RFI's where needed

13) Site-coordination, project drawings, and general arrangement drawing

14) Backup copies of engineering drawings into the server

15) Schedule and monitoring program activity to achieve on-time result including follow-up with external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items

16) Work out on material take-offs from all engineering drawing

17) Liaise with customers and vendors and management of material

18) Assist in preparation or modification of reports and specifications

19) To create construction layout/detail under direction from Design Manager/Design Engineer

20) Prepare and revise engineering drawings, shop drawings, details, sections, charts, and similar documents as directed

21) Timely completion of construction layout /detail

22) Ensure the proper indexing, filing, and storage of drawings in both hard-copy and electronic media

23) To keep and update drawing revisions and drawing register

24) Preparation of submission drawings complying with various authorities’ guidelines

Experience / Skill Required

* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

* Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM software is a MUST

* Experienced with MicroStation.

Knowledge in TEKLASTRUCTURES, Bentley Aecosim would be an advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with people at all levels
Ability to work under pressure and at a very tight work schedule
