Assistant Design Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process throughout all project phases, from concept development to construction completion.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth design integration.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
• Manage design submissions, approvals, and revisions with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts using value engineering and practical construction solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with Singapore building regulations, codes, and project specifications.
• Monitor design progress and ensure deliverables are completed within project timelines.
• Support project teams during construction by providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues.
• Attend design coordination meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action plans.
• Maintain effective communication among internal departments and external consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in the Singapore construction industry.
• Experience managing design coordination for commercial, residential, industrial, or institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore building regulations, BCA requirements, and construction standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and project collaboration platforms is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Design & Build (D&B) projects.
• Knowledge of Green Mark requirements will be an advantage.
• BIM certification or relevant professional qualifications are preferred.
