Assistant Director (Quantity Surveyor)

Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and accomplished Assistant Director (Quantity Surveyor) to drive senior-level cost consultancy, team leadership, and client relationship management. In this executive-track role, you will oversee end-to-end commercial operations across diverse portfolios, mentor high-performing quantity surveying teams, and actively expand our client base.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Project Leadership: Direct complex, multi-sector projects from initial briefing to final handover; steer preliminary feasibility evaluations, detailed cost planning, procurement structuring, and post-contract financial administration.

Team Leadership & Development: Guide and develop a team of quantity surveyors through structured coaching, regular performance reviews, and mentorship—cultivating an accountable, continuous-learning culture focused on delivery excellence.

Client Engagement & Business Growth: Cultivate strong relationships with developers and corporate clients while assisting business development initiatives to identify, pitch, and secure high-value project pipelines.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or an equivalent discipline.

Professional Accreditation: Accredited Professional Quantity Surveyor (APQS) status and/or SISV Member (Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers) certification is a strong advantage.

Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive commercial management experience, with proven performance at an Associate or Senior QS capacity (preferably within a QS Consultancy background).

Core Competencies:

Commanding expertise in procurement models, contractual frameworks, cost modeling, and value engineering.

Demonstrated capability in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing major client accounts.

Strong commercial acumen and strategic business development skills.
