Assistant Manager, EHS

Job Responsibilities:

1. Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.

2. Conducting training programs on workplace safety and health and inspections to ensure that all staff and/or subcontractors onsite abide by policies and standards.

3. Ensure strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises.

4. Advise Project Management and Senior Management on EHS issues, trends, and corrective actions.

5. Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits.

6. Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and executive of safety programmes.

7. Work with the assistance of your safety team of WSH coordinators and supervisors at the project site.

8. Monitor project EHS System activities to ensure Corporate EHS policy and objectives are met.

9. Establish rapport with Authorities for ease in communications and support.

10. Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes in safety guidelines.

11. Other ad-hoc duties and tasks as assigned by the management.

Job Requirements:

• Registered WSH Officer with MOM for minimum of 10 years, min of 2 years as managerial role

• At least 10 years of WSH experience in Main Contractor

• Possess a minimum Diploma in Environment, Health and Safety Management or related field

• Excellent people management skills and team player, able to work in fast paced environments

• Well-versed in local WSH legislations and ISO management systems.
