Assistant M&E Manager

The Assistant M&E Manager is responsible for all aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering activities, processes, and construction of projects.

• Assist Project Manager on the preparation of planning, programming and monitoring process of M&E works and provide specific detail plan/program as per Project Manager’s instruction.
• Coordinate with client’s representatives, consultants, and subcontractors on all technical matters, including submission of method statement, drawings, materials, samples and work progress;
• Monitor job progress and ensure that M&E contracted works meets all practical, commercial, requirements of productivity, quality and contract target completions
• Ensure mechanical and electrical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes and in conformance with the Company’s established policies and objectives;
• Appraisal for works/products compliance to Specifications/Requirements and selection recommendation.
• Develop the details of Testing & Commissioning Activities Schedule including Factory Tests, Individual System Test, Integrated System Test, RI etc.
• Responsible for carrying out M&E technical meetings and resolving technical issues with record.
• Responsible for variation order cost collection, cost verification of the VO works and make necessary recommendation of VO prices.
• To check, evaluate and confirm work done and material supply quantity status for the purpose of M&E sub-contractor/NSC vendors progress payments incl. instruction of progress substantiation document preparation by sub-contractors and vendors.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering recognized by PE Board
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in construction industry and managed complex construction projects such as factory / warehouse / industrial etc
• Demonstrates strong technical competence and excellent time management skills

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical & electrical trades.
• Strong M&E works site installation knowledge with the ability to provide practical solution related with site installation.
• Good knowledge of Local Code/Regulation Knowledge pertaining to M&E services, building construction and safety.
• Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage particular tasks put in his charge.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly and propose counter measures to settle the issues.
