Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Description / Scope of Work

(1)           Check GeBiz, SESAMI, Tender Board and other tender portal daily

(2)           Study tender documents and drawings, raise tender queries (if any)

(3)           Attend site show round

(4)           Measure and take off quantities for sub-structural, structural and architectural works

(5)           Source for sub-con and supplier quotations

(6)           Price comparison and ensure compliance with tender requirement

(7)           Prepare Work Order to award sub-con / supplier

(8)           Prepare bill of quantities, schedule of rates and other supporting doc

(9)           Prepare cost estimate / quotation / tender submission

(10)       Prepare tender doc and addendum

(11)       Prepare LOI / LOA and contract doc

(12)       Keep track of qty of materials ordered.

(13)       Attend weekly site meeting

(14)       Visit site to evaluate site progress, for interim claim and VO claim purpose

(15)       Evaluate Final Account Claim submitted by main-con

Job Requirement

(A)          Minimum Diploma in Quantity Surveying / Building / Civil &Structural Engineering

(B)          Diploma holder with 3-year working experience (preferably with local main-con)

(C)          Proficient in Microsoft Office software (EXCEL, WORD and OUTLOOK)

(D)          Able to multi-task efficiently and cope with tight deadlines

(E)          Able to work independently and a good team player

(F)          Meticulous and analytical mindset.

(G)         Possesses good communication skills

(H)          Willing to learn

(I)             Report to Managing Director / Contract Manager

(J)           Salary and renumeration shall commensurate with qualification and experience

(K)          Training will be provided for entry level

(L)           May need to work longer hours, including some weekend (due to tender deadline)

(M)         5-Days Work Week
