We are looking for a Building Construction Engineer to collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineers to create detailed projects plans.
1 Budgeting and Cost Estimation:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to the budget.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering practices.
2 Project Management:
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and
services.
• Oversee daily construction activities to ensure adherence to the project plan and schedule.
3 Quality Control:
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets specified standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify and rectify defects or issues.
• Ensure proper documentation of all quality control activities.
4 Safety Management:
• Develop and enforce site safety plans and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety training and meetings for construction personnel.
• Investigate and report accidents or incidents on the construction site.
5 Communication and Coordination:
• Serve as a liaison between clients, stakeholders, and the project team to ensure clear communication
and understanding of project goals.
• Prepare and present progress reports, updates, and project documentation to stakeholders.
• Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during construction.
6 Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
• Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
• Stay updated with changes in building codes and regulations.
7 Sustainability and Environmental Considerations:
• Implement sustainable building practices and materials to minimize environmental impact.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Promote energy-efficient and green building solutions.
8 Technical Support and Problem-Solving:
• Provide technical expertise and support to the construction team.
• Address and resolve technical challenges and issues that arise during construction.
• Utilize engineering principles and practices to develop innovative solutions.
9 Documentation and Record-Keeping:
• Maintain detailed records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
• Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, complete, and accessible.
• Prepare final project reports and documentation for project closeout.
10 Post-Construction Activities:
• Conduct final inspections and ensure that all work is completed to specifications.
• Coordinate with clients for project handover and address any post-construction issues.
• Manage warranty and maintenance periods.
