BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER

Roles & Responsibilities

Main Purpose

-      Drive the company’s business development strategies by seeking new business opportunities, and business partners.

-      Work with the Director in market research, liaising with various stakeholders and project management.

-      Setup new business with shared investment for that business.

-      Must bring profitable business opportunities continuously.

-      Must drive new business in different field like Process sector and Marine sector

-  Must require at least ten years’ experience in new business field like Process sector and Marine sector    

-      Also manage the existing company operation for the construction, Landscape and FM with 24/7 supports

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic

-     Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

-  Ensure proactive measures are in place to prevent accidents and incidents on-site.

- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, authority submissions, and project documentation.

- Supervise and support supervisors, and workers in day-to-day activities.

- Plan, coordinate, and oversee lifting operations, ensuring all activities comply with MOM and BCA regulations.

- Provide guidance and direction to lifting supervisors and rigging teams to ensure safe practices.

- Perform site inspections and ensure quality control procedures are followed.

- Prepare method statements, lifting plans, and risk assessments where required..

Projects

-      Oversee and manage daily site operations to ensure project progress, quality, and safety compliance.

-  Oversee and manage civil and building construction projects from inception to completion.

-  Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure works are executed according to drawings, specifications, and schedules.

-  Prepare and Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports and schedules.

-  Ensure all Project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

-  Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and propose solutions to maintain timelines.

          -  Perform any other duties as assigned by Management

-  And concurrently manage the other few business.

Experience and Skills Requirements

-     Experience in reinforced concrete works, structural works, and coordination of architectural and M&E trades are preferred.

-      Experience in structural works and coordination of architectural and Process Marine sector are preferred.

-     Proven experience in site engineering and project coordination within building developments such as commercial, residential, or institutional projects.

-     Good understanding of local construction practices, authority requirements, and WSH regulations.

-     Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

-     2 to 5 years of site experience with direct exposure to operations

-     2 years Construction site experience in India include 6 months experience related to local company in Indian projects

-     Able to take on role as Manager, overseeing the activities of multiple supervisors and engineers on site.

-     Possession of Appointed Person – Risk Management Course certification for bizsafe certification (Mandatory)

-     Possession of Appointed Person – must possess Course certification for new business field like Process sector and Marine sector (Mandatory)

-     Strong knowledge of workplace safety, Health and construction best practices.

-     Strong technical knowledge of civil and building construction practices and standards.

-     Proficiency in project management software and tools.

-     Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

-     Strong organizational and time management skills.

-     Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.

-     Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Educational Requirements

-      Degree in Engineering or any related discipline or different discipline to Setup new business with share investment.
