Job Description - building construction supervisor

Accomplishes constructionhuman resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning,scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating jobexpectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommendingcompensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Meets operational standards bycontributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews;implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards;resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.
Accomplishes construction projectresults by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required;establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling andcoordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions andconclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing changeorders.
Prevents fines and interruptions bycomplying with, and enforcing, codes.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthywork environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complyingwith legal regulations.
Updates job knowledge by tracking andunderstanding emerging construction practices and standards; participating ineducational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintainingpersonal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances organization reputation byaccepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploringopportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
