BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Summary

Lead business development initiatives by assessing stakeholder feedback, developing strategic plans, and fostering partnerships to drive new revenue streams and product offerings. Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluation to support departmental growth and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess gaps and opportunities by analyzing stakeholder feedback to improve business processes
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with industry players to support business growth
• Execute recruitment and retention strategies to attract and retain talent within the department
• Develop business development plans aligned with overall business strategies to drive growth
• Create business reports detailing new revenue streams, product improvements, and new business opportunities
• Design measures to ensure compliance with corporate regulations across business activities
• Formulate new business proposals based on market demand analysis
• Plan and implement the use of new technologies to enhance business processes
• Engage with business partners, suppliers, and vendors to negotiate and secure new business agreements
• Gather insights from business networks on product and production developments to inform strategy
• Prepare and propose the department’s financial budget for management approval
• Provide on-the-job training and conduct performance evaluations to develop staff capabilities
• Review business development progress and outcomes with stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Analyze regulatory restrictions affecting new business ventures to mitigate risks
• Evaluate risk assessments and financial models for new business ventures to support decision-making
• Monitor and review targets and goals across teams to drive performance
• Support stakeholder engagement sessions to introduce and promote new portfolios
• Leverage business networks and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to identify new business opportunities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address gaps and opportunities in business operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Master’s degree in any discipline (Minimum qualification)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Business Development
