Chief Mechanic

Job Scopes:

• Lead and supervise a team of mechanics in the maintenance and repair of construction machinery and equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on construction equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

• Plan and assign daily repair and maintenance work to mechanics.

• Inspect completed repairs and ensure work meets company safety and quality standards.

• Coordinate with the operations team to minimize equipment downtime.

• Maintain maintenance records and monitor spare parts inventory.

• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to mechanics.

• Lead the maintenance and repair of drilling rigs, excavators, grout pumps, deep soil mixing (DSM) equipment and other construction machinery.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems of heavy construction equipment.

• Schedule preventive maintenance to ensure machinery is in good working condition for project operations.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance and repair of heavy construction machinery.

• Experience leading and supervising a team of mechanics.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, diesel engine and electrical systems.

• Experience with drilling rigs, excavators, grout pumps and other heavy construction equipment preferred.

• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical faults independently.
