Job Summary

Perform structural design and analysis while supporting project coordination, authority submissions, and BIM processes to deliver compliant, efficient engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Produce civil and structural designs that comply with project specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure safety and functionality
• Participate actively in BIM workflows to coordinate and integrate design elements across teams and disciplines
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to develop and refine design solutions throughout project phases
• Manage and track authority submissions to secure timely approvals and maintain project schedules
• Conduct thorough design reviews and site inspections to verify compliance and quality standards
• Prepare detailed engineering design reports, technical documentation, and project records for stakeholder communication
• Support design workshops and project meetings by identifying and resolving technical issues to maintain project progress
• Ensure digital deliverables meet current standards, quality benchmarks, and client requirements for accuracy and completeness
• Liaise with project teams during implementation to uphold design quality and intent on site
• Assist project leaders or Qualified Persons (QPs) in applying effective design strategies and technologies to enhance project outcomes

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent recognized by PEB; or relevant diploma with design experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building design demonstrating practical application of engineering principles
• Understanding of local codes and current authority submission procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in engineering design and BIM software to produce accurate and coordinated designs
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with stakeholders
• Motivation and passion for contributing to team capability improvement and knowledge sharing
• Passionate about efficient workflow and implementing digitalization and/or automation to the workflow.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in composite steel and concrete design and precast concrete design.
