Commercial Executive - New Building Projects

We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Executive to be based in Singapore for a globally established third-party ship management company. The successful candidate will support the growth of the company’s newbuilding and project solutions business. This role will suit a technically qualified maritime professional who enjoys developing client relationships, identifying new opportunities and working closely with technical teams to deliver practical customer solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within ship management, newbuilding supervision and maritime project services.
• Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, shipyards, investors and other maritime stakeholders.
• Monitor market activities, fleet expansion plans and shipyard developments.
• Prepare proposals, tenders, presentations and other commercial materials.
• Work closely with technical and operational teams to develop suitable client solutions.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and customer information in the CRM system.
• Attend client meetings, industry events and shipyard visits.

Requirements

• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Nautical Science or a related maritime discipline.
• At least 2–3 years of business development, sales or commercial experience within the maritime industry.
• Experience with a third-party ship manager, maritime engineering company or project solutions provider would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of ship management, newbuilding or maritime engineering services.
• Confident in client engagement, proposal preparation and stakeholder management.
• Self-motivated, commercially minded and comfortable developing new relationships.
• Willing to travel internationally for client meetings and business development activities.
