COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN (CAD) DRAFTER

Building Drafter Responsibilities & Duties

• Create detailed architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings for building projects
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in all drawings
• Update and maintain all project files, including drawings and specifications
• Identify and resolve any potential design problems or conflicts
• Assist in project site visits and measurement taking as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to building codes and standards
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements in drafting and design

Building Drafter Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Building Drafter
• Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software programs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce error-free drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
