Oversee construction activities and progress, planning, implementing and monitoring work schedules in accordance with master work schedules and established budgets and ensuring delivery of quality work that meets contractual requirements
Oversee quality control on site and together with the safety team, ensure Environmental, Health and Safety practices are carried out effectively by all parties (internal & external) working on site
Manage and control workers on site and monitor their work closely to ensure quality standards and keep site safe and neat
Understand and interpret drawings and specifications, and check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect
Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications and established budgets
Liaise with all internal and external parties involved in the project
Liaise with consultants on technical issues, and handle and resolve any technical and engineering problems that may arise
Provide guidance to supervisors relating to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule, quality standards are maintained, site inspections are carried out and technical and other site issues are resolved on time
Supervise, manage and coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure quality of work and scope of work is within specifications and established budgets
Plan and organise site work efficiently e.g. manpower allocation, plant and site facilities to meet agreed deadlines
Manage and coordinate with purchasing department and various suppliers for timely purchase of materials & supplies (e.g. rebar, formwork, concrete, scaffolds, sanitary fittings) to site, delivery checking and verification to execute contract works and ensure no delays or gaps in schedule
Inspect sites to monitor job progress and assess and ensure conformance to engineering plans,specifications and construction standards
Requirements:
Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering or any related fields
Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in Construction or Site Management in Singapore
Must have experience with landed houses.
Independent, meticulous in work, good leadership, manpower & resources allocation skills, team player, with ability to plan work efficiently in advance and build rapport with all levels of stakeholders
