Job Description - CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from planning through completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards, client requirements, and Singapore regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from commencement to completion.

  • Develop project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation strategies.

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Supervise site operations to ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.

  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), BCA, MOM, and other statutory regulations.

  • Prepare and review project budgets, cost estimates, procurement plans, and progress claims.

  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, reports, variation orders, and correspondence.

  • Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and technical coordination meetings.

  • Resolve technical, operational, and contractual issues arising during project execution.

  • Review and approve subcontractor work, invoices, and project deliverables.

  • Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.

  • Ensure projects are completed within the approved timeline, budget, and quality standards.

  • Prepare project completion reports, handover documentation, and defect management plans.

  • Lead and mentor project engineers, site supervisors, and site personnel.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, budgeting, and contract administration.

  • Familiar with Singapore construction regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, BCA standards, and MOM regulations.

  • Experience in managing commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and other project management software.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Requirements

  • Willing to travel between project sites as required.

  • Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety and quality.

  • Ability to lead diverse teams and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Knowledge of quality management systems and risk management practices will be an advantage.
