CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Coordination

• Develop project timelines, work programmes, and manpower plans, integrating structural, architectural, M&E, and interior fit-out trades
• Coordinate sequencing across all trades to avoid clashes and ensure smooth handover
• Manage interface issues between finishes and building services (M&E points, ceiling voids, floor levels, wall penetrations)

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all works comply with BCA, PUB, LTA, SCDF, NEA, and MOM requirements
• Ensure fit-out materials meet fire-rating, Green Mark, and sustainability standards

Site Operations

• Lead daily site meetings and manage all subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
• Oversee fit-out specialists including carpenters, tilers, painters, joiners, and M&E rough-in teams
• Resolve site issues quickly to prevent delays, especially fit-out interface challenges

Quality Control

• Ensure works meet specifications, drawings, and QP requirements
• Conduct rigorous quality checks on workmanship — alignment, surface finishes, and defect rectification
• Oversee mock-up approvals and enforce strict protection of completed works

Safety Management

• Enforce WSH Act compliance and MOM regulations
• Manage fit-out-specific risks: working at height, power tools, dust control, chemical handling, and housekeeping
• Conduct regular toolbox meetings and safety inspections

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain site records, progress reports, and inspection logs
• Manage shop drawing and material submissions (especially finishes)
• Coordinate RFIs, site instructions, and as-built documentation

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, or Construction Management

Experience

Minimum 8–10 years in site management, with at least 3–5 years in interior fit-out or finishing works on large-scale projects

Certifications

Valid CSCPM or equivalent safety certification

Skills

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficient in MS Project / Primavera and Microsoft Office

Knowledge

Familiar with Singapore authorities' requirements (BCA, PUB, LTA, SCDF, NEA, MOM) and WSH Act
