Contract Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a commercially sharp Contract Manager to handle end-to-end contractual and financial management for active construction projects. In this role, you will independently manage pre- and post-contract processes, track project cash flows, and lead communications across diverse, Mandarin-speaking project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Cash Flow Management: Formulate, monitor, and update project operational budgets and cash flow projections, making dynamic adjustments to safeguard project profitability.

End-to-End Contract Administration: Independently execute pre- and post-contract lifecycle tasks—including tendering, attending tender interviews, assessing progress claims, negotiating variation orders, and closing out final accounts.

Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a primary contractual point of contact to build strong relationships and negotiate terms effectively with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and vendors (including Mandarin-speaking entities).

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in contract administration, commercial negotiations, or project cost management.

Language Skills: Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin to communicate, negotiate, and process contractual documentation effectively with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and clients.

Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Core Competencies:

Solid grasp of construction contract forms, procurement methods, and dispute management.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and resolve commercial issues proactively.
