Job Description - Design Manager

Reviewed project specifications, construction drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Prepared detailed architectural shop drawings, construction details, and fabrication drawings for consultant review and approval.
Produced accurate as-built drawings upon project completion, reflecting site modifications and final construction conditions.
Undertook civil and structural design analysis for infrastructure and building projects, developing practical and cost-effective engineering solutions for complex technical challenges.
Coordinated architectural, structural, civil, and M&E disciplines to resolve design conflicts and ensure seamless project execution.
Liaised with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to facilitate effective communication and timely project delivery.
Assisted the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, organizing, monitoring, and controlling architectural works throughout the construction lifecycle.
Managed the review, submission, and approval process for subcontractors' shop drawings, technical submittals, material samples, and product catalogues.
Conducted site inspections and attended coordination meetings to monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Collaborated with consultants and project stakeholders to identify design improvements, value engineering opportunities, and practical construction solutions.
Coordinated drawing revisions and maintained accurate documentation throughout all project phases.
Ensured timely submission of technical documentation while meeting demanding project schedules and milestones.
Supported tender documentation, quantity verification, and technical evaluations where required.
Utilized AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, and other design software to prepare, revise, and coordinate construction documentation.
Assisted in resolving site-related technical issues by providing design clarifications and coordinating with consultants and contractors.
Maintained quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) standards by reviewing drawings and construction works for accuracy and compliance.
Monitored project progress, tracked design changes, and ensured all deliverables were completed within project timelines.
Worked independently while effectively collaborating within multidisciplinary teams across multiple concurrent projects.
