Design Manager (Civil & Structural Engineering)

1. Lead and manage the civil & structural design team, overseeing all phases of project design from concept to construction completion.
2. Review and approve structural design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with BCA, SCDF, and other relevant Singapore standards and codes.
3. Liaise closely with clients, architects, M&E consultants, and contractors to coordinate design development, resolve technical issues, and meet project timelines.
4. Prepare detailed design briefs, project scopes, and work schedules; monitor project progress and deliverables to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
5. Conduct site visits to review construction progress, provide technical guidance, and address design-related queries on-site.
6. Manage the design team’s workload, provide technical mentorship, and ensure quality control and consistency across all projects.
7. Coordinate and prepare design submissions to relevant authorities (BCA, PUB, LTA etc.) and ensure timely approval.
8. Evaluate new technologies, materials, and design methods to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

【Requirements】

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from a recognised university.
2. Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in civil/structural design, with at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
3. Proven track record of managing design teams and delivering projects in Singapore, with knowledge of local codes and regulations (BCA, SCDF).
4. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar structural analysis tools.
5. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
