Job Description - Electrical Project Manager

Job Summary

Manage and oversee electrical projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget while coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical projects from initial planning through to successful completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings to guide accurate site execution
  • Plan and schedule work based on project timelines and construction sequences to optimize resource allocation
  • Arrange and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progress
  • Monitor project costs and control budgets to maximize productivity and profitability
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to align project objectives
  • Ensure all works comply with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Prepare and submit regular reports detailing project progress, manpower deployment, work schedules, and cost performance
  • Identify and resolve site issues promptly to maintain project schedules and budget compliance

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with a Main Contractor or Electrical Subcontractor in Singapore
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings independently
  • Knowledge of project budgeting, cost control, and material planning
  • Strong understanding of construction work sequences to plan manpower and resources effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Project planning, coordination, and communication skills to support effective project execution
  • Communication skills to liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Self-motivation, responsibility, and results orientation with leadership and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience managing multiple electrical construction projects.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore electrical regulations and construction practices.
  • Relevant safety certifications or electrical-related qualifications will be an advantage.
