Electrical Technical Lead

Overall Objective: To provide comprehensive electrical engineering design, review, and assurance services to support the client's project lifecycle.

Key Service Activities (Active Voice, Objective Metrics where possible):

• Develop and implement High, Medium and Low Voltage system physical design using AIS and GIS products

• Develop and review power system studies, grounding calculations, CT sizing, voltage drop, etc.

• Familiarity with standards, IEC and ANSI/NEMA standards.

• Develop new electrical product solutions for Switchgear, Transformers, Energy Storage, Micro Grids for electrical large scale AC and DC electrical infrastructure for mission critical facilities.

• Design Review & Coordination: Contractor will review and comment on drawings and design documentation using Google Workspace, BIM360, ACC and 3Dx cloud platforms. The contractor will assess technical content, coordination, and quality, escalating critical items affecting schedule and cost to client consultants and contractors during design meetings to ensure compliance with all client Standards, Guidelines, OPRs, and Narratives.

• System Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Contractor will proactively identify, suggest, and document improvements and modifications to electrical engineering systems, focusing on technology adoption, cost efficiency, time savings, energy efficiency, and operational performance. The contractor will prepare and deliver presentations on proposed improvements as needed.

• Defect Resolution & Project Closure: Contractor will manage defect rectifications, punch list closures, and final inspections on electrical engineering systems for formal closure.

• Reporting & Communication: Contractor will provide regular updates and maintain comprehensive trackers of issues, risks, and mitigation actions related to electrical systems. The contractor will report all issues, progress, and blocking items to the client's Technical Program Manager and Technical Lead.

• Meeting Participation & Strategic Direction: Contractor will attend design meetings, providing continual input to optimize design and minimize unnecessary work. The contractor will provide clear direction to partners on the path forward given problems or problem statements.

• Technical Liaison: Contractor will act as a key technical liaison between the client team, dedicated resources, external vendors, and project stakeholders for all electrical engineering aspects.

• Documentation Management & Standards Enhancement: Contractor will update owner standard documentation (e.g., Specs, programming documents) as design improvements are made. The contractor will provide administrative assistance on project documentation, including revision control, deliverable tracking, and final upload to the AODocs cloud database system.
