ENGINEER

Job Summary

We seek an experienced Civil and Structural Engineer to supervise and manage construction projects, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and regulations. You will coordinate on-site activities and liaise with contractors and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise piling works and diaphragm wall construction to ensure structural integrity and compliance
• Oversee reinforced concrete (RC) works and earth retention and stabilizing structures (ERSS) on site
• Manage and supervise construction and earthwork activities by designated area, ensuring safety and quality standards
• Coordinate traffic and drain diversion activities to minimize disruption and maintain project timelines
• Supervise temporary works to ensure stability and safety during construction phases
• Lead construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications
• Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, survey reports, and technical documents to guide construction processes
• Plan and allocate resources, materials, and equipment efficiently to optimize project execution
• Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintain budget compliance
• Provide technical guidance to resolve construction challenges and support decision-making
• Attend early morning site meetings and perform other ad hoc duties as required

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college
• 3-5 years of experience in site engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent roles managing construction projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, GIS, AutoCAD, and related software for project management and design interpretation
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations to ensure compliance and quality
• Competence in assessing, interpreting, and presenting survey reports and critical data to stakeholders
• Excellent project management and organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects effectively
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with clear and effective communication
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders
• Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality construction results
• Well-versed in earth and civil works execution and supervision
• Positive and responsible attitude toward work and safety
