Engineer

Job Summary

You will lead project planning, supervision, and coordination in civil construction to ensure timely progress, quality standards, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Collaborate with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors to deliver successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design civil construction projects, including material requisition and documentation
• Prepare and update project schedules and weekly/monthly progress reports using Microsoft Project
• Review project specifications, technical clarifications, and method statements to resolve drawing discrepancies
• Supervise construction works on-site to ensure quality and adherence to safety and environmental regulations
• Coordinate technical matters with clients’ representatives, consultants, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Monitor sub-contractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Attend site meetings with clients, architects, and authorities to discuss project progress and issues
• Prepare and submit all necessary technical reports and records promptly
• Implement and enforce safe work procedures and environmental control measures at the work site
• Lead and guide workers and sub-contractors to achieve project targets and smooth progress
• Perform additional duties as assigned by immediate superior or Head of Department

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, or equivalent
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in building construction or civil engineering roles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage
• Experience in technical submissions and project documentation
• Ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders including clients and sub-contractors
