Engineer (Marine Project)

Job Description:

• Plan, coordinate and supervise marine, coastal and infrastructure construction activities to ensure works are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
• Support the implementation of construction methodologies, work sequences and temporary works arrangements.
• Coordinate marine plant, equipment and logistics, including barges, pontoons, cranes, workboats and material deliveries.
• Monitor site progress, productivity, quality and resource utilisation, and propose corrective actions where required.
• Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, work procedures and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants, authorities, subcontractors and suppliers on technical and construction matters.
• Supervise subcontractors and marine crews to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Support site investigations, surveys, instrumentation monitoring and technical assessments where required.
• Prepare progress reports, construction records and other project documentation.
• Promote and enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), environmental and marine safety requirements throughout project execution.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in marine, coastal, ground improvement, port, waterfront or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience in marine construction planning, logistics coordination and site execution.
• Familiar with marine plant and equipment operations, temporary works and construction sequencing.
• Experience dealing with HDB, JTC, PSA, MPA, LTA or similar public sector agencies will be preferred.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced site environment.

• This role involves a combination of office and site-based work depending on project requirements.
