Engineering Drafter (Gondola, Mast Climber Systems &Metal Scaffolding)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced EngineeringDrafter to support the design, planning, and execution of temporary accessequipment, including gondolas, mast climbers, suspended platforms, metalscaffoldings and related construction access systems. The successful candidatewill prepare technical drawings, coordinate with engineers and project teams,and ensure designs comply with applicable safety standards and projectrequirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Develop fabrication, assembly, installation, and shop drawings for gondola and mast climber systems.
• Produce layout drawings, structural details, anchorage arrangements, and access plans.
• Revise and update drawings based on engineering calculations, site conditions, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, site supervisors, and production teams.
• Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and structural plans to ensure design compatibility.
• Prepare material take-offs and bill of quantities (BOQ) from drawings.
• Maintain accurate drawing registers, revisions, and engineering documentation.
• Assist in preparing technical submissions, method statements, and installation plans.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
• Conduct site visits when required to verify dimensions and resolve technical issues.
• Support the engineering team in product development and design improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• 2–5 years of drafting experience in construction, engineering, scaffolding, access systems, lifting equipment, or related industries.
• Experience with gondola systems, mast climbers, BMUs, scaffolding, or temporary works is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, Tekla, or similar is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with engineering standards, construction regulations, and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
