Job Summary

You will lead environmental control efforts on construction sites, ensuring compliance with NEA regulations, managing environmental risks, and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain safe and sustainable site operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine site inspections to verify compliance with environmental, health, and hygiene regulations
• Implement and enforce Environmental Control Measures (ECMs) according to NEA standards
• Prepare and maintain Environmental Control Plans (ECP) aligned with NEA requirements
• Identify and eliminate potential mosquito breeding grounds through preventive and remedial actions
• Monitor noise, dust, silty discharge, and humidity levels, recommending corrective actions when limits are exceeded
• Oversee treatment and discharge of silty water to prevent pollution of public drains
• Maintain proper site housekeeping, ensuring cleanliness of public roads and drains around the site perimeter
• Liaise effectively with regulatory bodies such as NEA and PUB during inspections, investigations, and compliance audits
• Conduct awareness campaigns on topics like Heat Stress Prevention and Hearing Protection to promote site safety
• Prepare and submit detailed monthly reports and presentations to NEA, site management, and clients
• Assist in coordinating Green and Gracious Builder and ConSaSS audits to support environmental certification
• Advise site management on environmental compliance issues and recommend corrective actions as needed

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with the National Environment Agency (NEA) of Singapore

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, environmental control, and site management
• Competency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
