Job Purpose
The Supervisor, Facilities is responsible for overseeing theday-to-day operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the company's facilities,buildings, storage areas, and related infrastructure to ensure a safe,efficient, and well-maintained working environment that supports shipyardoperations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and housekeeping ofoffice buildings, storage facilities, workshops, and common areas within theshipyard.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities, storageareas, and work environments are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderlycondition.
- Coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective maintenanceactivities for facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
- • Ensure all material handling equipment, company vehicles, andfacility-related assets are properly maintained and serviced according tomaintenance schedules.
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and service providers forrepair, maintenance, and facility improvement works.
- Monitor maintenance requests and ensure issues are addressedpromptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, andhealth regulations, including adherence to company policies and shipyard safetystandards.
- Identify and rectify safety hazards, housekeepingdeficiencies, and facility-related risks.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections,inventories, and service contracts.
- Support office space planning, facility renovations, andinfrastructure improvement projects as required.
- Monitor inventory levels of facility supplies, tools, andconsumables and arrange for replenishment when necessary.
- Assist in emergency response planning and coordinatefacility-related contingency measures during emergencies or incidents.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent tertiary qualification in FacilitiesManagement, Building Services, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or arelated discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in facilities,building maintenance, shipyard, manufacturing, marine, or industrialenvironments.
- Good knowledge of facility maintenance, building systems,material handling equipment, and workplace safety practices.
- Familiarity with Singapore workplace safety regulations andfacility management best practices.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,Outlook, Teams).
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in afast-paced operational environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the abilityto coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in a shipyard, marine, offshore, or heavyindustrial environment.
- Possession of WSQ Workplace Safety & Health certificationor equivalent safety-related qualifications is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, andbuilding systems maintenance would be beneficial.
- Experience in ISO audits, Construction and QS roles.
