Heavy Lifting & Rigging Specialist (Asia Pacific)

We are partnering with a globally recognized manufacturer of premium lifting, rigging, and load-handling solutions to appoint a Technical Training & Rigging Specialist for the Asia Pacific region.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced lifting and rigging professional to become a regional subject matter expert, delivering technical training, supporting distributors and end users, and contributing to the continued growth of a leading international brand.

The role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, training delivery, and industry relationship building across a wide range of sectors including offshore, maritime, oil & gas, renewables, construction, heavy industry, and mining.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Deliver engaging product and technical training programs to distributors, end users, riggers, lifting personnel, and internal stakeholders throughout Asia Pacific.
• Conduct both classroom-based and online training sessions covering lifting equipment, rigging applications, product usage, and industry best practices.
• Develop and adapt training materials to meet local market requirements and customer needs.
• Support the development of future trainers within the distributor network.

Technical Advisory & Customer Support

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor on lifting and rigging applications, providing practical guidance to customers and distribution partners.
• Support distributors and end users in selecting suitable lifting and rigging solutions for their operations.
• Participate in customer visits, technical discussions, seminars, exhibitions, and industry events across the region.
• Assist commercial teams by providing technical expertise and product application knowledge.

Market Development & Industry Engagement

• Build strong relationships with distributors, contractors, shipyards, offshore operators, and industrial end users.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen customer engagement and expand training activities throughout the region.
• Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support product improvements and future innovation initiatives.
• Collaborate with product management, marketing, and technical teams to support regional growth strategies.

Requirements:

• Experience within the lifting, hoisting, rigging, crane, offshore, marine, or industrial lifting sectors.
• Formal lifting and rigging qualifications and/or certifications (e.g. LEEA) highly preferred.
• Strong practical understanding of lifting equipment, shackles, hooks, slings, lifting points, and load-handling operations.
• Passion for teaching, coaching, and sharing technical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels.
• Comfortable with extensive international travel throughout Asia and Australia.
• Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is advantageous.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently within a regional commercial team.
