Land Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Boundary Definition: Research historical property records and land titles to locate and verify legal boundaries.
• Site Preparation: Conduct topographic and engineering surveys before and during construction projects to assess land suitability.
• Data Processing: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and geographic information systems (GIS) to process survey results into detailed maps and charts.
• Quality Assurance: Compare current field measurements with previous records to verify data accuracy and prevent legal disputes.
• Collaboration: Work directly with architects, contractors, and government agencies to communicate survey results and align with project plans.

Job Requirements

• Education: A Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or a closely related field.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in operating modern surveying instruments (e.g., GPS, Total Stations) and software like AutoCAD.
• Experience: Typically requires 2 to 5+ years of relevant fieldwork experience, with many local infrastructure and LTA (Land Transport Authority) projects in Singapore requiring local industry experience.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong mathematical and analytical skills for complex measurement calculations.
• Physical & Environmental Conditions: Willingness to perform physical fieldwork in outdoor, construction, or diverse environments.
