Job Summary

You will lead the coordination and monitoring of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works to ensure compliance with project schedules and regulatory requirements, driving quality delivery and resolving design and construction challenges effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain M&E work schedules aligned with the overall project master schedule to ensure timely progress
• Review and monitor shop drawings and material submissions to verify accuracy and compliance with project specifications
• Verify M&E drawings for compliance with authorities’ requirements to ensure regulatory approval and avoid delays
• Identify and report discrepancies or conflicts between M&E drawings and architectural or structural elements to prevent construction issues
• Prepare detailed progress reports to communicate project status and highlight critical issues to stakeholders
• Coordinate with sub-contractors and project teams to facilitate smooth work delivery and resolve design and construction challenges proactively
• Monitor installation work on-site to ensure adherence to coordinated plans and quality standards
• Conduct inspections and testing of building works, documenting inspection records for verification by RE/RTO to maintain quality assurance
• Follow up on rectification work and other necessary tasks to ensure compliance and project standards are met
• Oversee sub-contractors’ submission of drawings as per coordination requirements to maintain project alignment
• Guide and supervise M&E supervisors on site to ensure work is executed according to coordinated plans and standards

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the Construction Industry
• Recognised Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
