Maintenance Assistant

Position Overview

APP Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a practical and hands-on General Technician to support our workshop and maintenance team. This role is ideal for candidates with an ITE certification/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or related trades.

The General Technician will perform routine workshop tasks, minor repairs, and maintenance work, and may be required to visit different job sites to carry out installation rectification, minor repairs, and emergency maintenance, under the guidance of the Maintenance Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop & Maintenance Tasks

• Perform minor repairs such as fixing locks, patching walls, repairing doors or furniture.

• Conduct routine building maintenance, including replacing light bulbs, clearing minor plumbing leaks, or simple electrical fixes (e.g., changing fuses or sockets) under supervision.

• Check visual status of safety systems (e.g., fire alarms, control panels) and report any faults to the Maintenance Lead or supervisor; not responsible for certified maintenance.

• Attend to emergency breakdowns in the workshop or company facilities.

• Perform general housekeeping of the workshop, including organizing tools, materials, and equipment.

• Assist with material preparation, handling, and staging for projects as required.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Workshop Supervisor or Maintenance Lead.

Job Site Support

• Follow instructions from the Maintenance Lead to perform minor repairs or rectification work at project job sites.

• Assist in installation rectifications or simple adjustments required for site readiness.

• Ensure tools and materials are safely transported to sites and returned to the workshop after use.

• Report site issues, material shortages, or minor faults back to the Maintenance Lead or Workshop Supervisor.
