M&E COORDINATOR

Job Summary

Plan, supervise, and monitor mechanical and electrical (M&E) works on construction sites to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and design standards. Coordinate with clients and contractors to resolve technical issues and deliver timely project progress reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and monitor work schedules to ensure timely completion of assigned M&E tasks
• Supervise and coordinate M&E work on site to maintain quality and safety standards
• Prepare detailed progress reports for clients and project managers, highlighting delays, defects, and rectification measures
• Inspect and assess temporary works by contractors to ensure compliance with civil & structural (C&S), M&E, and building regulations
• Verify that all mechanical and electrical works conform to design specifications, codes of practice, and quality standards
• Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship and performance meet required standards
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, qualified persons, and other contractors to resolve technical and interfacing issues
• Verify reports and claims submitted by subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and specialist contractors for accuracy and compliance

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from a recognized institution
• Ability to read and interpret CAD, Revit, and Navisworks 3D models to support project execution

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in construction or civil engineering industry, preferably on large-scale projects
• Willingness to be based at the project site office
