Job Summary

Support tendering and project cost management by preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities, estimating and submitting tenders, performing cost engineering, and controlling project costs for mechanical and electrical projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities to ensure accuracy and completeness for tender submissions
• Estimate and submit tenders for mechanical and electrical projects to secure contracts
• Apply cost engineering techniques to forecast and optimize costs for future projects
• Develop preliminary designs for Design and Build tenders to support project proposals
• Monitor project costs and generate cost reports to maintain budget control and inform stakeholders
• Collaborate effectively within teams to meet project goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently to handle tight deadlines and changing priorities
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to document and present tender and project information

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in tendering for mechanical and electrical firms

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
